Today, 15 th July 2023, is Kamarajar’s 121 st birthday
Periyar hailed kamarajar as “The redeemer of Tamil Nadu and the genuine
Tamil Kamarajar.”
Kamarajar eliminated Rajaji’s ‘Kulak kalavith thittam’ and made the stream of
education flow freely across Tamil Nadu. ‘Periyar was the catalyst, and
kamarajar was the performer’.
This mission of dissemination of education and knowledge by Kamarajar must
be made known to the younger generation.
Mutghamizh Arignar Kalignar karunanidhi enacted a rule and declared
Kamarajar’s birthday as ‘Day of Education’ so that the younger generation will
remember and celebrate Kamarajar, despite the fact that they both belonged
to two different parties.
Though Kamarajar was in a national party, he raised the flag of social justice
and made it flutter, providing free school education, made history by opening
tens of thousands of new schools in the State and helped the poor to rise up
in the social ladder.
Today, we see the yield produced by Kamarajar’s tireless works in the field of
Tamil Nadu.
Long live Kamarajar’s name and fame!
